Thank you speedbowl for doing the right thing and banning him for the year.

I was wondering how many times he was gonna get kicked out of a race before getting kicked out for good.

Like a dog that keeps crapping on the floor..either the dog gets potty trained and stays or gets kicked out of the house....

This is bad training and not being consistent.

I do not know Ray very well. I have met him a few times at the track this year and he seems ok to me. Yes I know of his past (who doesn't) but he has done his time for on and off the track issues. I understand him getting in trouble for ignoring the black flag. However it seems suspending him for the year is a bit much. I know I am going to get completely bashed here for saying this but it's my opinion. I do know of the other issues with him this year but I have also seem other drivers on the track do worse and get nothing. I will say that the track is much better this year with enforcing the rules but not with everyone. What he did was wrong I am not disputing that and yes he should be punished. I just think it is a bit much when I see other drivers drive the same way on the track and get little to no punishment.

Once again this is my opinion and you don't have to agree or like it.

He's gotten kicked out of a race at least 3 times this year alone. So he deserves what he got.

After a bit more thought I will say yes you are right. He does deserve to be suspended. I just hope it goes for everyone. Several times this year I have seen cars put to the rear for over aggressive driving with doing a lot more damage. Instead of sending them to the rear they should all be suspended for at least a week as well. Then it can be 3 strikes your out for the year for everyone.

Sure,
Ron Yuhas Jr spun Keith Rocco= sent to the rear
Brandon Plemons spun Charles Beal= sent to the rear
Al Stone spun Ed Puleo=sent to the rear
Keith Rocco spun Tyler Chadwick=sent to the rear
Chris Myers was disqualified for over aggressive driving
Diego Monahan was disqualified for hitting Chadwick under caution
I think Ted Dupre was disqualified for hitting Ray Downing Jr under caution. Not 100% positive what the punishment was on that one.
I am sure if I went back and watched some videos I could post more.

My point is everyone should have the same punishment for the same act no matter what there history is. Then make it so many strikes your out. It shouldn't matter what other peoples opinion of that person is. Same rules for everyone so same punishment for everyone.

those were first offenses and under green, and same punishment

I'm not familiar with the Myers call, I dont get to see every race while working. if he was DQ'd, I'm going to guess he made contact under yellow, or it was a second offense during that event under green.

those were under caution for which there is no second chance, you get parked for the night end of story. Ted and Ray were both parked that night. Ray got extra time off for being stupid and a repeat offender.

where is the inconsistency? Downing was kicked out for 2011, is there anyone even close to what he has done? he was set down for 4 weeks, he came back and does the same stuff over.
