LuvtheMods Let's agree to disagree. Like Fastang said. In order to go a full race without a caution, you need three things. The green flag. The White flag and the Checkered flag. I believe that's called GWC

But I would not be surprised to not see to many people show up for the SK 150 and the Finally weekend. On "Thunder on the sound" the WMT will be up in Canada that week. So you wont see any big name drivers making a stop for the Bud National 150.

And the Finally weekend offers nothing but a split up two day event "Thunder on the sound" weekend. With a few extra long distance races. And a poor excuse of an SK feature with a poor and disgusting ticket price. Last year was fantastic. Why change it? Why fix what is not broken. I'm aware that ACT did not want to come back but they could have at lest tried something. :| I think the finally will be the first event I'll skip. And just head up to Seekonk. :?

Gil is probably the only smart one of us that had the sense to stay away from the bowl this week.

oldschoolracing1969 A good way for someone not to take your seat is to put something down. A shirt, jacket or a chair or pillow. I'm happy with my big red chair. It needs more work but it beats the hard wood.

I'm so smart that I ruined my lungs by smoking for far too many years. If I could still breathe in that high humidity I would have been there.

I guess it's all in how you look at it Paul. To me a GWC is when you have a caution with 2 to go. Caution free to me is simply flag to flag or os fastang said G2C,the 2 and W are kinda different...haha. If you wanna be technical they went G..1/2 way..10 to go,W and then C but thats just me being a wiseguy..... I just dont consider a caution free race a GWC. Thats just how i see it, 6 of 1,1/2 dozen the other.

Yea they dropped the ball on the 150 and the finale for sure and you will enjoy seekonk if you have never been there. Its a cool lil race track. So is Manadnock and riverhead. If you ever have a few bucks to kill riverhead is a fun time,The ferry boat ride is nice a peacefull and once on the island the scenery is amazing. If you like that kinda stuff. Very exspenseive on Long Island though. Lee Usa is also a fun track to visit. Its a decision hard to drive 2 hours rather than 15 minutes, but once your there and having a blast its worth it.

As for offsetting the price for the double feature nights you may get your wish but dont be shocked if the offset goes in the oppisite direction you want, haha pretty sure it will stay at 15 thought, they cant be thay crazy to raise it. Or can they???

On the speedbowl website they gave an update to the NEMST. The tour is getting more laps from 25 to 50 laps. I think this is a step forward for are hearing our cry's. 145 Laps of 4 cylinder action. That sure dose make me happy now. :D

I hope your right Paul...but they have a long way to go to get the fans and especially the other drivers that have taken their cars to Thompson/Stafford Springs/Seekonk back to the speedbowl....the fans want more racing (especially for the $$) and the drivers want a LEVEL and FAIR playing field.

yupyup its almost like a race among racetracks. Who can get out of critical care 1st Thompson or the bowl? Thompson is trying by bumping up purses and thats not working for them, and the bowl i dont really know what they are doing but it's not working either. Plenty of room for improvement for both. My hope is that they both fix they're woes but time will tell

The bowl is having some good numbers in 6 weeks the SK's are averaging 18.5 cars a week. it's not the 20 we got last year but it's still a good number compared to Thompson's 10 cars a week. You can't blame teams and drivers for now showing up. Everything is hard now. Money no longer grows on trees and people are struggling now.

If you are mad at Ron Yuhas then why? I think it's a good thing. A driver is trying to make a name for him self. All drivers have to take off the training wheels off at some time, and try and race in the big leagues. So if Ron only makes a few stops at the bowl then that is fine. If He wants to focus on his Mod then that is fine. As long has he does not forget about us then he can dream big and go big. 8-)

So far this year the bowl has had it's up and downs. But they continue to strive on it's fans and drivers. And sometimes they are not going to please everyone. But for someone like me adding an extra 25 laps to a race brings a smile back to my face and makes me feel better. Sure we all would like to have a price cut in a ticket. But don't forget it cost a lot of money to pay off the bills. So as long as they don't make a surprising price jump the day of the race. Everything will be fine. :P

What drivers would that be? You act like 30 cars are racing elsewhere when the reality is 4 or 5 drivers are.

They either went there years ago, rules or drive for a team that was going to run elsewhere anyway.

Who is mad at yuhas? Not me Im not sure about others but it was no secret the tour was they're main priorty this year. Training wheels? what the heck are you talking about? he has ran on the tour before,he has run thompson, stafford, and the bowl threw out the years. His training wheels have been off for a long time man.

Big car counts are nice but lets face it those days are gone. Thompson has 10, 5 of which are fast and put on a good show. The bowl has 18 and they put on a good show. Alot of fans just dont like goin to either one for they're own reasons, and if those reasons were somehow elimanated they would return. I personaly enjoy all 3 tracks but taken everything into account i go to select shows at all 3 tracks. This week im doing thompson, skipping stafford and the bowl and headin up to star to watch the modified race, never been there and after seeing the entry list decided to go check it out. I mean everybody gripes about this and gripes about that but to me if someone decides they no longer wish to attend even if it for a stubborn and maybe completely foolish reason,Anyone the buys a ticket at any racetrack and leaves unhappy, heck i cant blame em for not going back when there are other places to go.
Maybe those other places suck too and they say hey that other place aint that bad after all and return, while some say wow i shoulda came here a long time ago. I like raceing my days of going to 1 track weekly are over. i simply go where i want when i can afford to do so. Some weeks i dont go anywhere.
