I guess I'll start first :P

It was a long exhausting weekend. With Friday rained out I took that 20$ and put it to a 50$ ticket. And yes it was well worth it.

It was fun to meet everyone once more. I got to talk to a few people behind this forum at the track. You know who you are! ;) If you feel like hanging around let me know.

Saturday I talked to a few drivers wished them luck. Talked to a few crew members, What surprised me the most is the young kids in the BL and the LC cars. So many young talent trying to make a name for them self's. It was a cold day that wind sucked. After spending a few hours in the pits and went to the stands. Heats started. And I was kind of disappointed with the car count with a few divisions. But it's early in the year and we will just have to see if some teams will come back. But I was really surprised to see how many cars showed up for the Late Models. It sure does look like it is making a big come back. Talking about car numbers. some were lacking and some were strong. It was your average but grate Saturday opener. I just hope that the BL car count grows. I don't want to see a 7 car filed at the 300.

Once more no TC. Good riddance we can let that rummer go now.

Sunday came along and I over overslept. I got to the track 20 minutes before the pit party was over. I rushed to take pictures of the LM, SK's and VMRS. Sorry to any driver If I looked like a crazy picture guy. I was in a rush to take pictures before the cars took off to the pits.

The SK race was fun and a good one. 18 SK's is a good number but not the average 20 we got last year. I hope by this week some more will show up. NEMA was a good event. But I don't think it would have been a good race if the NEMA Lights did not support the division. Funny how the division could bring 26 cars and now can struggle just to get 15 cars to show up. The Late Model race was also another fun one. But what was with Bruce and Jason? It was nice to see Vin win. Rich was waiting for him to mess up but finished 2nd. It had a nice filed of cars. I hope we see the same number this week. The Street Stick was alright. But I was disappointed with the car numbers but still had a good finish. Mini Stock had a good filed of competitive cars. Just like they do every week.

And the VRMS Was a crazy show of awesome! Not many people could go head to head with Chris and Doug but the battle between them was fun. Tim Jordon's dabute was not the one he wanted, and Keith Rocco may have spun out and bent his bumper but he did come home in the end of the day in 12th.

It was a good weekend but it sure was long. That's my 2 cents.

Well i see that peeps dont have much to say about the opener. I was dissapointed with the car turnout and and damn was it windy but all in all was a decent show. not great but it was nice to be back at the track. I had thought Keith roughed up Ronnie a lil bit but my buddy said looked a racing deal so im not sure, looked like 57 pinched him a bit and dont usualy see ronnie confront someone on the track like he did so he was def upset with what went down. Late models i thought palmer got the shaft big time. I dont even root for him but he didnt need to be parked, put to the back would have been sufficient. Bruce came flying up and gave him a nudge sayin whats up so he he nudged him back. Big deal i have seen guys do much worse and not even get called on it. It will be interestin gto how the year plays out. I wont be a reg this year probly go to about 1/2 the shows. Once thompson and stafford get crankin im gonna see which track offers the best show for the money. With all 3 tracks at 15 bucks even, shouldnt be hard to compare value.

I'll bite...

The racing was A+, the show rolled right along on Sunday and I like that calls are being made.

SK's, don't really get to watch it but the field looks even thinner then before.

The Late Model feature I missed the big one but gotta say that 11 car was rippin' and smooth as could be. He ripped off the restarts to huge leads both times I saw it and of the 35 or so laps I saw 33 of them had the left sides glued to the white line. Good job Vinny and crew....and I was the only one to pick him.

SS's are a huge let down. From what the division was 10-12 years ago it's been in a slow decline. Nothing against the guys in the division because what there are of them are quality cars. Just as a fan this was always one of the better divisions. Hopefully more guys get their cars together and get out there. I didn't watch the feature much and what i saw looked like a Friday practice field of the old days. The 18 looked dominate, didn't see what happened to Stone but he just looked off at the end.

I hung around at the end of the SS feature to talk to some friends and what i saw down there was just like the old days in the dirt, the majority of those guys are having fun and groups of drivers kindof meet up in different places and explain what, why and how things happened and most walked away with a smile. This needs to trickle down to the asphalt pits more.

MS's are always impressive racing. Sucks for Chris Williams, looked like a broken motor and a late night was going to pay off with a feature win. Didn't watch much of this one but congrat's to the 8, car looked fast as did the 91, 52.

I think the pricing is ok but it could be a bad thing also. Raising the price by $1 means if 1 in 15 people feel like some here and others I talked to the price increase becomes a break even deal (and loses $$$ in the long run)

I didn't think that mattered that much but I'd think it's a legit 1 in 30 think it's priced itself at the breaking point. That makes the price increase 50 cents in extra income per 15 people, If that guy that's missing got a cheeseburger and a soda the price increase backfires.

It does open up coupon/$1 off with last week stub and alot of other ideas though.

I know the track is trying to raise funds, hopefully that all works out. i was a little sticker shocked at the price of a beer. IMHO if I can walk up, buy a beer and leave a tip off a $5 bill all is good. It made me rethink getting another beer later on and the crowd looked thin all day in the two booths. Hopefully that's more weather then sticker shock.

Believe me when I say, we were shocked at our car count, or lack of. Notable missing cars..... 01 Nate Appel, #90, #97 Ernie LaRose, #21 Ed Lamb, #94/95 of the Burr's, #20 C. Kvaka, plus a few other numbers newly registered and on the roster. I hope it picks up as well.
#64 of Greg Moran Jr. is not showing on the roster, but should be back mid to late summer after his knee heals.

The 20 was in the pits sunday morning. I guess the track didn't let him race?

Yea most I talked to were like well all 3 tracks same price can't go to all 3 so what ever early shows I enjoy the most is where I go. At 4 bucks a gallon it makes sense. To me its between the bowl and Thompson as I would be really surprised if stafford struggles with so counts. Hard to go up on a fri though. I like calls being made to but I thought the palmer call was a strech. All that aside the racin was good.

to Luvthemods: the 17 Late Model was parked for intention contact UNDER CAUTION which was a consistent call throughout the entire weekend as was the 78 SK when he made contact with i believe the 27 under caution.
On that note i believe the weekend was a success, I have a feeling that more cars will filter in over the next few weeks some teams still trying to get their cars ready and also the uncertainty of weather may have scared a few away as well, but what are ya gonna do?
I believe that as long as the consistency keeps up to the level it was at this past weekend the place will be in good shape (on the competition end of things)

Lets take a look at the ticket prices for all three tracks. This is all taken from Grandstand ticket sales.

Waterford Saturday (Open, Closer and Saturday only)
15$ Ticket = 20
20$ Ticket = 1
25$ Ticket = 1
30$ Ticket = 4
34$ Ticket = 1
27 Weeks

Total ticket income for one person 499$ Average ticket price all year long is 18.48$

Stafford Friday (Open, Closer and Friday only)
15$ Ticket = 13
18$ Ticket = 2
25$ Ticket = 3
30$ Ticket = 2
35$ Ticket = 2
22 Weeks

Total ticket income for one person is 436$ Average ticket price all year long is 19.82$

Thompson Thursday (Open, Closer and Thursday only plus Mod north & south)
15$ Ticket = 5
18$ Ticket = 7
20$ Ticket = 5
40$ Ticket = 2
50$ Ticket = 2
21 Weeks

Total ticket income for one person is 481$ Average ticket price all year long is 22.91$

So in all if you are still looking to go to the cheapest track all year long with an average it would be Waterford. Hope you all like that statistics. lol

I did not like the jack up price of coffee from 1.50$ to 2$ Bowls food is way out of my price rang it's why I bring my own food. :D
