JUST GOT DONE WATCHING THE NEW SID VIDEO AND I CAN'T WAIT TILL THE NEXT ONE!!!....WHAT AN AWESOME JOB!!!...ALWAYS ENJOY THEM...KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

There was even water in the infield back then lol. But does anybody know what the land was used for before the bowl was built and who owned it?

As far as the land before the track - Don Benvenuti, who was 22 years old when the track was built, said during our interview (although not used in this clip) that the land was previously owned by the Sweet family (no relation to Bill Sweet the driver from the 60's & 70's) prior to construction and that it was basically just farm land... much like what the land behind turns 1 & 2 (what is currently the North Pits) looks like in the opening picture of the video.

Hey Sid... Awesome job by you and your staff! Can actually remember watching many of the names from years past.I've got to look more into the previous owner of the property prior to the bowl birth. Who knows,Brent may be racing this year on ancient family burial grounds and not even know it...lol..

Warren, They do sell programs at the bowl they have the "new age" video programs...
but yes the video was AWESOME good job Sid and the entire Vault Crew keep up the good work...
