Had a great weekend at the bowl. Was cold but that is to be expected. What I don't understand are the concessions. Now I don't go to the bowl for the food but when your hungry, your hungry. And I got hungry during the tour race. Tried to get somthing during the cautions but every time I got into line, it was a mile long and moving slow. I didn't want to miss any of the race so I had to keep getting out of the line to watch the race. So during the red flag I tried it again. Got through to the counter, asked for pizza, sorry we're out of pizza. Ok how about fries. Sorry no fries. A hamburger? We have burgers but no buns. Well I got a burger and they were able to scrounge up a kaiser roll from somewhere. Bit into the burger and the freekin thing was undercooked. I know it was the first show and a big crowd, but come on. This wasn't their first time around the block. Other than that and freezing my ass off I had a good time. At least I'm hearing next weekend will be warmer. Let's hope they got some pizza for me  Ok I'm finished complaining now. Here's to a great season. :P

I dont have a problem with pointing out issues, whining/crying or complaining. but I will not tolerate foul language. consider it the only warning.

Ok, so I was at Thompson all day Saturday and the food was plentiful and hot, short fast moving lines and pleasant servers. But it was only for practice and the crowd was much smaller.

While I have been at the bowl when they have run out of food before I can only imagine what it must be like to look into the crystal ball to see how many hambuger patties you are going to need a few weeks in advance.

Also, reading the Shadow's other post about all the other stuff that was going on the week before and I am sure it was crazy arround there. I would also bet that the management has someone in charge of taking care of that if it is not sub-contracted out entirely, so I would imagine if profits were impacted by not having enough to keep on selling and making the customers happy that someone will be getting a spanking this week. Or at least I would be if it was my business.

The other option is bring your own if they will not have enough to supply everyone. But if you're just going to complain at least try to look at the whole picture and see how you can avoid it in the future.

Maybe the track needs a communication link to the BOD for stuff like this to make it better overall as I am sure that newbies with their families that could not get hot food on a cold day may not be back which is counter productive for what the BOD is trying to do.

Shadow, is there a link where folks can 'nicely' send suggestions/complaints? I say nicely as if it is too strong to start it most likely won't get far.

just my .02

Sorry shadow didn't really think anything i said was foul in anyway. I used asterix on one particular word and it wasnt even really a bad word but i do appologize if it offended you. i guess i'll just say booty from now on. Is that acceptable? You built this place for us so it is your way or the highway

haha, crazy would be an understatement.

I can ask, but I think if you send an email to one of the contacts @speedbowl.com you should be able to get some help. I am not going to fill in the first part of the address as I am not sure who it would be. check out http://www.speedbowl.com/contact.php and there are 4 people listed who can help you.

yep, that was the word, but $$ were used.

you are 100% free to complain, as long as it does not get personal.

Shadow,

I have already had a response from the track about how to send an observation/complaint/suggestion or what ever. I am impressed as to how fast the response came except that I don't have a complaint on this I was only saying that it needs to get to them to be heard and addressed if it is decided that it needs addressing. I am hesitant to post the contact info here myself but if they would like to hear what the paying customers have to say maybe they could post it here or point it out if it is on their website already.

Thanks, Steve S.

I have also received an email from the BOD today regarding my post and they seemed very concerned about what I had to say. It's good to know that they are listening and are doing everything to solve and prevent any problems in the future. And check out the weather for this weekend. Sunny and warmer

The race weekend was good. Nothing could have been done with the weather but still it was a good event. I had fun talking to the drivers the crews and thanking Sid for the sweet 2 sec spot in the DVD. that's two years in a row I've been in the DVD and I'm happy still. About the food I've stopped buying food at the track. Cost way to much and the line is heck-a-long, but I know my tricks to cut in line here and there when I get a craving for some pizza or fries. But grabbing something from Subway or Taco Bell is what I do now. Also I have to give a shout out to everyone that stayed for the hole event on Saturday. The dang thing did not get over till a little bit after 10PM. I think I counted some around 30 people still left in the stands when the Super-X race was over. Let's hope for this Saturday I do not have to bring my BIG RED blanket with me. I hear it's going to be warm. Also I took a lot of pictures and once I put them on my computer I'll post them here for everyone can enjoy.

My top three favorite races out of the hole weekend was.
1. MRS. (They put on a good show every time they come to the bowl and this time they out did them self's once more.)
2. SK Mods (If you love them then wave your hands in the air like you just don't care!)
3. Legends Cars (What a race. Max came back and beat the hole field. Just a jaw drooping race.)
