Just read Sids rumblings on JP.com. Yea bud rain has wreaked havic so far for sure. I do love thompson,as i love stafford and the bowl, for varying reasons, but i love all 3 of our ct tracks. Thompson's biggest problem i think is a combination effect. The SK rule difference hurts them but i dont beleive it is killing them, but a stafford or bowl sk can not race there cause they cant keep up and costs too much to buy a 2 nd motor just so they can keep up. Thurs night is hard for people to go,its a work night and with the poor showing so far the ones that were finding a way to go are now staying home. The officiating is awful, alot of favortism there. See it from the stands and hear it from competiters. Last but def not least,TIS is just way too exspensive across the board and people cant overpay like they used to. Put it all together and you get a big ole cluster beep of a mess. All fixable when and if the ones that can fix it open they're eyes.
As for the bowl and the ticket prices ehhh really its a crap shoot. reg night 15 is fine,i do think certain special events could be lower, for the simple reason the high ticket events keeps alot of regulars away for the week and the crowd is pretty much full of 1-3 times a year visiters. Of course the biggest crowd was ISMA night. Love those cars or not people come to watch them. Wings-n-wheels will also be packed. As bad as that ISMA race was the crowd will be there again. I hear from alot of people that dont like the bowl anymore either and i will say this for the most part the reasons are for things other than the actual racing. There are things that keep people away, some i agree with and some i dont but i hear all the time I love the bowl but i just cant go anymore untill.....Its just the way alot of people feel..As for myself i have been going to stafford weekly, and ventureing out to check out some other sat night tracks and go to the bowl now semi-regularly. There are some cool race tracks and it has been nice watching different tracks around the region.
