Buy the season pass when the offer for the largest discount is there, and be done with it.

Exactly. Season passes dramatically reduces the per race price, even on regular nights. Notice that Thompson has never offered season passes? Not sure about Stafford.

Stafford does the same thing, offering even further discounts to early buyers.

LuvtheMods, I still say you should save your pennies and buy the Bowl and then you won't have to cry over ticket prices. I don't know where you travel from, but if you have to travel Rte 32 up through Willimantic what are you saving?

Ok for the record i was not crying about anything. I saw a price difference for IMO the same basic headline event. To me I would have thought they would be closer in price thats all geez. Maybe i dont want a season pass becasue i dont attend enough events to make it worth the investment. I go to several different tracks threw the year on sat nights, and alost all of them have low car counts as well yet the crowds are always there, and i see peeps walking around that i used to see at the bowl. I enjoy watching all new england raceing and really dont care about price. If i want to go i pay the price, where ever it is. Its hard not to sit somewhere and think wow theres alot of people here. Seein former regulars some of which i have had conversations with, hey sorry tells me people are unhappy. I may not be a track promoter but i know some of biggest complaints the bowl and thompson have are car counts and ticket value. So 50 or so people here think there is nothing wrong, thats fine everyone is entitled to they're opioion. Mine is lower the ticket price even if just for a few weeks to see what happens. Put coupons in the papers, something. Do what ever can be done to get more people there and the ones that have left back. Can argue till the cows come home but people are not going anymore. Whats the worst that will happen? Still get a sub par crowd right? Well maybe the crowds get nicer cause more people say hey look at that they dropped the ticket some or Dad says hey hun look at this coupon lets take the kids to the track. Just get them in the darn gate. More fans, more concesion sales and if they enjoy the program more repeat visitors. Die-hards go every week,i used to be one,but they need more common race fans. Fans need to save money as much as the tracks needs to make it,why not meet in the middle? A $25 ticket for a race can keep people away while a $5 coupon for that same even can draw people in. Dont matter to me either way. Give em a reason to come, and while they are there give em a reason to come back. I realize this can be considered a bash attack but really it isn't. This is a small board where only a few post thoughts. At the track the complaints i hear outweigh the praise big time. I would think the track would want it the other way around. Thats all. Slam away........ The bowl could and should have much better crowds than they get. Say what you want but they reputation keeps people away, and things could be done to change that.

Looks like they already though of that - our latest Metrocast bill has a full color glossy buy one get one free voucher for the Speedbowl. Very nice looking and will probably lure a few extra fans to the track.

This is the second year I got that coupon in the mail. One thing they don't do anymore is put a $5 off coupon in the paper for the high priced shows.

that's all im saying is offer up some discounts for fans to come out and enjoy the night. people are really struggling to make ends meet and alot can only attend 1 race event a week, while some cant even afford that anymore. Not for nothing but speedbowl mobile offers has said check back in april since opening day last year(yes i do check) Speedbowl.com savings has had the same $5 coupon from may 29 2010(offerd it 1 time) Really what is the point of discount offer sections if they are always empty. Id rather not even see a discount section than to click on it to see sorry no offers with a picture of an event from over a year ago. Remove the offer section or actualy put up an offer for people to utilize. Its not just me people do notice this stuff. For every click that sees sorry no offers they lose sales when if there was an offer up would gain people at the gate. Even it is a small number say 50 people that normaly wouldnt be there go,it makes a difference. Save em a few bucks to get in and then let the racing do the talking. Could even be somethng simple as $5 off any special event with a 2011 stub from any reg event. Thank the ones supporting them weekly by giveng them a break on the higher priced shows. I have personaly tryed to get some people i know to go back, even offered to buy the tickets. They wont go. Yes they are stubborn men....lol But when a freind cant even get a fellow race fan to the track on a nice sunny day at no cost to them thats just not good thing.

I never mean any offense to the bowl,i been goin since i was a kid. The place is in trouble we all know it and while i both cant afford nor desire to go weekly anymore. I still love the track and dont want it to be the next waterford strip mall. Just because it is not a major headline at the moment the status of the place has not gone away. Need more people there. What will be will be.
