man that bandolero race was the most exciting race i have seen in my entire life.

glad to see that the legends division is back and as awesome as it was before certain cars were in it.

street stock race was excellent, not too much contact, but just the right amount of a street stock race.

minis were great, best division that runs sat nights, imo.

sk's were average, big suprise to see the 57 up front again

late models put ona good show, glad to see the car count picking up for them too.

I don't know where that number came from, over 30 started behind the Bobby Santos III!

I was talking about the Sunoco Modifieds. 12 started Saturday and 14 today. The Mod tour does not count.

the number 14 included Sunoco lights, approx 4 or 5 were added.

I was at the icebreaker, had a great time. Counts were not really down if you are comparing to last year was about the same really, they just didnt gain any like was exspected, while the bowls counts are down. Time will tell when stafford opens. Tough to guess a number but im gonna say they will get 20 plus sk's. Im gonna guess 26 will be at sizzler. Both openers had they're ups and downs but as a whole i enjoyed attending both of them. I give thompson the edge only because the tour race was pretty good. Time to take a few weeks off to save up for sizzler. Back to to the bowl for the may 21st event.

I believe that Staffords car counts also will be down compared to last year. If you look at the rosters as of today,
25 Late Model
35 SK light
31 Dare
23 Limited
47 SK
Don't get too excited about those numbers though. At least 30-35% of the cars on each division roster won't show up at all this year. A lot of teams will register their car number(s) in order to reserve it. There will be a good amount at the Sizzler, but after that, the car counts will be steadily lower than last year. Now Im not going to go into detail for each specific driver as to who will really show up. But the reality is that the cost of racing is getting too expesive, and teams are having to cut back and, if they have no choice, not run at all. Its not because they don't like this track or that track. Real racers will race anywhere any day. Its the cost that having to run at a track that determines where and how much they run. If it was possible, I know for a fact that my team (21 SMS SK) would run Thompson, Stafford, and Waterford every week. But finaces are not there. And thats when decisions have to be made as to where teams will field their car.

Well the good thing is that the Mod tour was not that much effected. There are teams that will join midway or when they have the funding. Just like me over the winter sacrifices had to be made and my trips to go to New Hampshire three times for two days have been canceled. I just don't have the money right now.

But with the little money I saved for NH will now go for a few selected events for Stafford and Thompson. Depending if I still have the money.

Stafford
FRIDAY, JUNE 10, 2011 (SK 100) 18$
FRIDAY, JULY 22, 2011 (SK 150) 25$
FRIDAY, AUGUST 5, 2011 (WMT 150) 30$
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2011 (WMT 150) 35$

Thompson
Sunday, September 11, 2011. (WMT N&S) 50$

Seekonk
Sunday, October 9, 2011 (MRS 100 Pro Stock 100 & more) 25$
I might go to Seekonk if Waterford can out entertain Seekonk lol.
