As I was looking around Saturday and seen the packed seats at the bowl for Wings N' Wheels. I started to get an idea. And today it came to me, with the successful event that took place last Saturday why not do the same thing but with stock cars? You know an all Late Model kind of division night. ACT, PASS, ALNS, and even the bowls own Trucks or Street Stocks and Mini Stocks. It's something to think over next year. I think it would be a cool event to have next year. I know the bowl team is reading this and that's a good thing. I would love to hear everyone's feed back. Heck I came up with a few funny names already. "Fenders N' Benders." "Street's N' Stock's" "Late Night Models" "Bash N' Clash" Do you guys have any wacky names to put out to?

While it sounds like it could make for decent show paul i dont think you would see the same turn out in the stands. I just dont think a show like that would sell the tickets that a big Modifed race would in this area,Unless it was a big money show to pull in a good count threw out. With the MRS and ISMA they get good crowds regardless so to have em in the same night make it an even bigger draw. I wouldn't minf seeing them explore the possibility of running tour-type mods bi-weekly for points with the late models and see which one does better. My guess is you would see better mod counts than late models and better crowds on those nights. Would prolly need the help of sponsorship to get up a decent purse for them but if succesfull i think would make the weekly bowl program better and more attractive to consistant decent weekly crowds. Its nice to pack the place once or twice a year, but would be nicer to pack the place weekly. As long as they stay away from trying to go head to head with a tour race or MRS race and not run them on those nights its worth a shot. Just my opinion

Eh it was worth a thought. No harm in thinking and trying to help out the bowl. ::shrugs:: I was a little upset about the turn out for the crowed but oh well.

How was the crowd anyway for the ACT race? I was at Seekonk for the MRS race and there was lots of peeps there. Just curious how the 2 series each pulled in on same night but diff tracks. While i do like the LM car, they just dont seem attrackt a very good draw. Thompson is a good example, with all the troubles they have endured this year,on they're Tour-Type Mod night even with people knowing there will probably only be 12-16 cars you can fan the seats and park lot and see a noticeble crowd increase. I know cause i sit in traffik on mod night and just drive on out for a reg night. Its the same show only with mods instead of pro stocks or what ever they call em now...... Just an obersvation of visiting different tracks for different races threw out the year. They dont call it Modifed country for nothing....From the words of Sid...Im just sayin...... didnt wanna steal your line man

The crowed size looked to be about the same size for a regular Saturday night at the bowl. A lot of empty seats but it seemed fine. I think it could be because of the heavy price that regular people and family's had to pay for the WnW the week before. But oh well. Anyone want to take a bet that Buffington or Palmer will win this weekend?

Buffington doesn't race at the Speedbowl anymore.
