With all the cars from the yesteryear at the bowl this weekend, it was something that you just have to appropriate and smile. Without the old timer cars ware would we be today? Who is to say what the SK mods, Late Model's and other divisions will look like in the next 25 years. And just to see them on the track was awesome. Hearing them roar their motors and pick up their speeds to entertain the new and old fans. To wake up the old monsters for fun and race just one more time.

I was in the pits this week. It was warm but a nice breeze came along and it was by far not as hot as it was last week. I can not stress out how much fun it is to talk to all the drivers. And then before you new it the sun was down and the racing started.

It's nice to see the NEMA's at the bowl. I remember a few years ago when they would draw in 25 cars a week. Now they get half of that. It could because of the NEMA Lights or no one can pay for them. But I'm the kind of guy that love to see A LOT of cars in a race. They did produce a good finish in both races I just wish they swapped the races for the Lights could fill up the big brother series. I seen it done before and it makes the race even more entertaing.

Now let's talk about the Mini stock race. And boy was it a big one. Christina Kellerman Had that race Chris Williams did everything he could to get by her but Christina gave it all she could. Ray Christian was coming for her. 5 Laps to go some people started to say "Stay Low, Stay Low." 4 Laps to go People were cheering her on. 3 Laps to go People were on their feet. 2 Laps to go Ray got to impatient and spun out Christina. It could have been because of the Lap traffic in front of them. But dang that just sucks, she could of had that win. So then it went down to Chris Williams, Ken Cassidy and Glen Colvin. Ken could not take Chris on the outside and Chris did everything in his power to make sure Glen did not push him out of the way for the win. A fight for the win and a fight in words after the race. It was one of the best races in the Mini Stocks this year.

should we go over the Street Stocks? Well let's talk about some news worthy story's that can be talked about. Steve Barret still had problems this week. From what I gathered the ball joints did not corporate this week. I over heard him say that next year he might be doing a part time schedule in the Street Stocks or even "fingers crossed" a SKL. Steve is a fun guy to hang around in the pits. And Whatever he does next year it should be fun either way. Last week I talked to Cory Coates for a few minutes. And He told me that his father Allan would be back next week in the Streets, An lord behold he was at the track in the Number 90. It's good to see him back in a car and racing. but the big story this week is Mr Al Stone. As he now has the most wins in the Street Stock Division. Congratulations to him and his team. The Street Stock race was fun Ed Puleo and Josh Galvin gave a run for Al Stone but could not get him in time.

Oh by the way I did not get to see who it was or why they did not race but does anyone know who brought down the 55 Street Stock to the track? It looked like a Street Stock but they pitted in the LM and SK pit. But when the heats went off the car was MIA. Does anyone know the story about that car or the driver?

The Late Models Had another grate race. "Big Country" Jeff Smith took the win over a hard coming Bruce Thomas. Like I said last week I think some drivers are saving their cars for this week and two weeks from now. I hope we get a good turn out. This week the ACT do not race but two weeks form now they race at Oxford. So it should be vary interesting just so see what the numbers will look like. It's getting me all hipper for this Saturday.

And last we can not forget about the SK's. The numbers were low this week. Even Rocco knows that when he has to bring his Stafford car to make a Start and Park. But from what I hear form Matt Buckler. Duge Coby could be back this week? Or next week? The WMT is this Friday at Stafford so TC should make a stop at the Bowl this week, that's if he wants to. Joey Gada's number 36 car will race two more times at Stafford and then that it as he will go for rookie of the year in 2012. I don't know what the number 3 will be used for but I'm glad Dennis Gada is bring it to the track week in and week out. Brent Sweet was not at the track, It looks like from reading this website that they need a part to finish out the year. I hope they can get the number 7 back out on the track. Ron Yuhas is still a no show. We will all have to keep our fingers crossed and hope he makes a stop at the bowl some time this year. Diego Monahan is still doing a part time drive this year. Let's hope he can make more starts to the end of this year. Mark Bakaj made his first start at the bowl this week. He got a good finish in his first start this year. I had a chat with Matt Gallo and it turns out that they might be done with Stafford for this year and next. It looks like they may be running at the bowl full time next year. But things are still up in the air and anything could happen.

Tyler Chadwick Gave all Black Betty could to Rocco. But the guy is on fire. As he won his 5th straight race at the bowl as he tied Dennis Gada's record. Coming down to the points it look like it's going to be Tyler, Jeff Pearl and honestly if Kyle James picks up his game he could become a contender. Still not counting out everyone else in the filed. Everyone is on top of their game and it's why the bowl produces the best SK racing week in and week out at any track.

All in all it was a good weekend. See you all next week!

Don't get me wrong RC3 I would not want you to settle for 2nd. What happened was all about racing for that win. And as a fan I can tell you two drivers or even three drivers racing for that win is what draws us fans back each week. Mistakes were made and unfortunately both cars spun out leaving the finish to anther group that gave it all for that win. And that group of 3 were bumping and banging for that last 2 laps for that precious win. Be the Hero or be the Villain it all comes down to one person. The winner. Like Ricky Bobby said "2nd is the first loser."

It sucks that Christina did not win, but it sucks that both drivers spun out and both did not get a podium finish. All the drivers can do is lick their wounds, get the car ready for next Saturday, and do the whole thing all over again. Just to get that win.

55 street stock was Shawn Monahan, he was there just to practice it. they wanted to shake it down before going back to Thompson.

Coby's car owner is STILL waiting for a motor. doubt he will be there this Saturday with his helmet bag. maybe a bleacher seat with a cold beer?

Christina chopped the 93 going into 1, the 93 was all four tires below the white line giving her room and she still chopped him. She caused that wreck.

I was in the middle of turns one and two and saw it with my own two eyes. She turned left at the stand, ran him down the track, they got into each other twice before going into one, and she just kept coming down.

Nice weekend wrap up Paul Rose...all races this past weekend were pretty good...I'm excited about next year... because I will be apart of the show after years of not driving (I bought a car..its from VA and will be stripping it down in the off season... its time to knock the rust off!)
