Just saw on Staffords website that the MRS and remaining wmt events have saturday raindates. I sure hope it dont rain on those fridays,that would spell dissater for the bowl's crowd if stafford ever runs head to head on a saturday. I enjoy goin to stafford but i wish they woulda chose sunday's rather than saturday. Thats the last thing the bowl needs. Lets all hope for sunny skies on those selected stafford events.

Stafford did that last year as well. I Think it was the Stafford WMT 200 and the race was rained out on Sunday so they rescheduled it for Saturday May 1, 2010. I remember they had the racing at 12 in the after noon. I remember getting a sunburn. And I remember rushing to the Speedbowl just before 7.

yea that was the sizzler after qualifying was allready done,and if i recall the bowl had a very small crowd that night. I did the double as well. if they run a whole program on sat it will kill they're crowd,exspecialy if its a raincheck deal. im gonna hope for sunshine so it wont be a issue. time will tell but i think mother nature owes us 1 here.

I think the reasoning is if Saturday gets washed out, there is always Sunday. if they went right to Sunday and got rained out, then you have tour teams hauling back there again.

yea i understand the logic,just hope they dont have to use it is all. I wouldnt mind seeing the bowl do a sunday program to avoid a head to head clash with a MRS or WMT event. Honestly i dont think they would win that battle. It is tricky though cause the MRS schedule is pretty full for the summer months. Then there is Keith,be it he is the only one who runs both tracks,he would have a big decision on his hands. Granted all depends on what time they would start at stafford,and if it is a whole program or continue where they left off deal.

Ps..Kudos to Joey Gada,2 weeks at stafford and the kid is doing pretty good. Stayin outa trouble,learning the track and is keeping with the pack pretty darn good. Very nice to see a bowl boy twirling around the 1/2 mile.
