 Post subject: Figure 8 race.

So, looking at the sked, I noticed that in the June 26th special event they're going to have a figure 8 race.

Anyone care to tell me how they're gonna run it at the track?

Last time I saw one there they didn't have the joisey barriers in the infield. Therefore, I guess they will have to move them and maybe some other stuff.

With a smaller amount of cars, like the x type Wed. night wacky races, they could put a big tire at the beginning and end of the front stretch. You have to go around one to the right, and the other to the left...hence a "figure 8". Much like the wacky "may pole" races we ran. Nothing saying you have to use the whole track to do a figure 8. That's when the speeds get too high and it starts to get too dangerous without serious money spent on safety items.

I would imagine it will be on the front stretch. The Hebron Fair uses 3 big tires to slow the cars down. Watching them has always been a blast. They then also have a demo derby to finish off any cars that survive the figure 8 race.
