You know I've been thinking of some ways to help the bowl for it can make some money. And It just came to me why not hold some loco bands at the bowl? You got the beer you got the munchies and you got the field. All you need is the stage and the band and you might have something. Have a cover charge to get in, I don't know how much to get in to see the band. Free to 1$ to 5$. I'm not an expert on this hole thing but it's an idea. It does not have to be Sundays it can be another night. Also say it rains Sunday that would allow you to have a rain date for Monday or so. And it dose not have to be rock bands. It can be Rap, Country, Metal You get the point.

Also times are changing and to let you all know, and most of you already know. The internet is on top. And you have to find ways to use the internet to draw people to what you are selling. And the two websites that I use to check for upcoming events are Ticketmaster.com And Eventful.com That might be looked into for the bowl in 2011.

I know that the bowl staff looks at this website so that saves me an embarrassing call to them. And it allows other people to give more ideas to this topic. So then let it begin, what do you all think of this idea?

I think the Sun and El n Gee have that area covered there paul. Best thing the good ole beloved bowl can do is disect the 2010 season,Eliminate what didnt and doesnt work and keep and work to build and improve on what does work for 2011.

I hear ya man but theres alot more to your idea that would prolly be a nitemare. Such as equiptment. Any band that may actualy play there would have to bring they're own sound system. Would you wanna hear a concert over the P.A System? I wouldn't. Generators to run all the equiptment needed etc.....

This has been brought up in the past. I believe there is a problem with the town if something like this were to happen. The property can't be used for other than motorsports related functions or it is a violation. No carnivals, fairs, flee markets, concerts and such.

Man the Town of Waterford just does not like the good old bowl huh? For years I heard my family say that the town of Waterford wanted to turn that site into a shopping mall. Not shocking those right?

I know back in the early 80's they had a couple carnivals there and had a race in the middle of the week. It was fun with the carnival atmosphere, the lights and sounds made it real fun....and the racing wasn't bad either...lol. Also when my dad ran there they had a dirt track in the middle and raced motorcycles on Fridays. That would be cool along with ATV racing.

Sounds like a bootleg version of Riverside Park, haha.
