I was looking over the 2010 Speedbowl Schedule and on Oct 2 it says. "Final Points Event For All NWAAS & INEX Divisions." Now is this the final points for the speedbowl guys. Are they going to do what Stafford and Thompson does? Leave the finale as a money shoot out. Or is this the finale points for the NASCAR National Top 500?

Well yes it looks that way. I think that was the best thing they could do. So now it will take out the " outsider gettin in the way " from the points race.

The Finale is definitely NOT point races for any of the weekly divisions. That's what track told when I noticed same thing and sent them email.

Can't say I'm a big fan of the decision, but the ACT and SK races should make it a cool event anyways.

I'm with you there Sid. I for see low car counts. But who knows time will only tell if this was a good or bad idea

Why low car counts? It's the last race of the year, got all winter to finx any damage. I hope to see lots of balls out racin.

Me to Matt, but when that race is not for points your going to have some drivers saying to them self's. "Well it's not for points mite as well stay home."

But who knows things at the bowl always come around to surprise me at the end. So time will only tell eha?

I have mixed thoughts on this one. I think its good for the top point guys because u wont have a guy like teddy or silk coming in causing havic in the points so thats good. But the flip side i think will be a low car count,the amount of regs that say no thanks will out weigh the amount of outsiders that show up. The world series at thompson is always no points and it is typicaly the smallest field of the season. I guess we'll find out in oct.

I believe this will benifit the car count... any outsiders looking in will have an equal chance of winning and starting the race up front. There would be no handy caps to worry about just pure time trials and racing. Drivers not in the top 14,or top 12 or top 10 will have an equal shot at the pole, and a good starting spot. 150 laps shootout for top $$$$$ sounds good.

I believe the biggest benifit for car counts will be a succesful,low amount of B/S season. Best way to get cars is too provide a place peeps wanna bring they're race cars too. with the gang having a year under they're belts i think they are up for the challenge
