The "all you have to take is the green" lie. Aren't they buddies off the track? If I was buddies with Keith I would make sure he had the most accurate info wouldnt let him fail.

listen, I would love to keep debating this, but the same story keeps coming up. "take the green" was not a lie, no more than step on the brakes as you come up to a red light. just because I didnt tell you to come to a complete stop at the red light, would you continue on your way through it or does common sense kick in and you stop? of course not, you would stop because you know the rules of the road. take the green knowing the rules of the track.

I like Keith, I think he's a heck of a driver. he's earned my respect by his actions on the track. it's just a crappy situation with the wreck in turn two at the initial green. if they give Keith the points and money, then you have the "Scott is inconsistent with his rules and he's helping his boy win" cronies complain. if you enforce the rules as written in the book then you have the "Scott is screwing Keith" people complain. the best way to settle it was use the rule book and enforce the rules.

Ok I can't take it anymore. Poor Keith? Are you kidding me! Keith is a National Champion and multiple track champion. Had he done his homework we wouldn't even be talking about this. So take the Coby/Rocco alliance and the "poor keith's", the did you see coby drive to the front, the he did this and he said that, and stow them in a box. The correct call was made period! Move On.

Nascar

Sect. 9-6 Race Start
E. When a driver change is made during a Race in order for the initial driver to receive points and prize money, the initial driver must start the Race. Otherwise, the points and prize money will be awarded to the relief driver. Driver changes will not be permitted from the start of pace laps until after the car completes its first scored lap.

Speedbowl

1.5.3 Race Start
All qualified cars must be on the track during pace laps. All Cars must drive out onto the track under their own power to start the race. Cars that are not lined up for the start of pace laps may join the rear of the field if they are on the track before the final pace lap/clenched green flag lap. Under no circumstances is any car not in the starting line-up to go on the track or enter the race after the completion of the first green flag lap, except cars which have lined up and started the pace laps. If a car drops out of the race beforethe completion of the first green flag lap, their finishing position will be determined by their starting position in relation to other drivers that do not complete the first green flag lap. During the pace laps, if a car does not maintain its designated position in the starting field, Waterford Speedbowl Officials may reposition the car at their discretion. The race begins at the commencement of pace laps, but scoring and official distance begins when the initial green flag is waved. Driver changes are permitted after the completion of the initial green flag lap only. The points and money will be awarded to the driver that completes the initial green flag lap. When the flagman gives the clenched green flag ("one lap to go" signal), cars will line up in columns of two (double file) for all restarts. The Waterford Speedbowl Officials may amend this policy at their discretion.

I wasn't there to see the action but I did watch Sid's view. From everything I have read and seen then Keith doesn't get the points. But if Scott did tell Keith all he has to do is take the green flag then in my opinion Scott at that point as the race director amended the rule (The Waterford Speedbowl Officials may amend this policy at their discretion) Myself, I read the rule book very carefully when I know things like this may come up. That is also why I carry a rule book in the trailer.

blahh blahh blahh..I still only went to watch Doug race the best car there and he sure did not dissapoint me. What ever he sits in he wins and give 100% trying and very rarely wrecks a car. I think he has the best of both worlds being incredibaly smooth and yet intensely aggressive. Absolutely love watching him race.
