Gino - are you trying to be objective here? Geesh... if you think the whole night was called perfectly, you're crazy! As a track staff member, I see your loyalty but it's a little too blinding brutha.

That's my opinion - bash @ will!
:D

nope, just saying the one call that seems to have everyone's panties in a bunch was called incorrectly at first, but given the chance it was corrected. you had the call right in your video when you said the caution was already out when the 4 was spun by the 57. I'm just the guy getting yelled at no matter what call is made.

edit: except Warren, he doesnt yell at me....well...not yet

The fact that it was called is still very odd. It's not like the officials didn't know the 44 spun and that the caution was already out before any of that happened. I mean they didn't just miss everything that happened and decided the 4 and 57 were the caution. Someone called for the caution long before the 4 went around.

The fact is the 4 was never in consideration to go to the rear, only the 57 was. I took it the call was being made about intentional contact under the yellow and then reversed because it was too close to call. If that was the initial call the 57 should have been parked, it's all just way to weird to figure out what really happened. I don't think anyone, including the officials know what the hell happened there.

the initial call to send the 57 to the rear was made because he was thought to be the reason for the yellow. the flag stand called the caution cars sitting in turn two as the reason. if the 57 would have been sent to the rear, the 4 would have had to go with him. (57 over aggressive driving, 4 car as caution car).

So if that was the reason why was the flagman on the track sending the 57 to the rear? If he knew why and was told to put the yellow out for the 44 wouldn't he have suggested that the caution was out before jumping off the stand and putting the 57 to the rear?

I feel bad for Scott. Hopefully messes like this don't happen again.

Rich was just doing what he was told on the radio, same as you saw me do when I told Bruce they had to go to the rear.

But the flag stand called the caution cars? Who called for the caution to come out? The caution was out before the 4 went around. SOMEONE CALLED THAT YELLOW and made the choice to put the 57 to the rear knowing the 4 wasn't the reason for the caution. The 44 spin happened behind us and we weren't to the scoreboard when the yellow came out.

No amount of explaining this will ever make sense. The whole thing makes no sense. you can explain what the outcome was over and over, the why it happened is what's in question.

The #3 (Dennis Gada's car) has been driven by Frank Mucciaucciaro in the past few races. So the only x mod/ sk lite driver was Paul French, if you want to call that "fluffing up the field".

I'm no one in the great scheme of things here. I'm just a fan and I realize that I'm low on racing's food chain. That being said, I still thought it safe to post a question about why 2 SK Lites (as I understood them to be) started the SK feature and then disappeared. That did give me (and others) the impression of them being there for a specific reason. There was no real need for the responses to my (and others) post to be so condescending. Again, being just a fan, I don't know who any of the behind the scenes people are. Apparently, Shadow, you are an official of some type, and it sounds like Saturday night was a trying one for you, but I think my question could have handled with a bit more courtesy.
