LuvtheMods I'm going have to disagree with a few things. Having two power house Mod's at the bowl sounds fun. But the new Mod series might take a few guys form the SK's and the full fields we seen each week will be half full. That's just my taught. I think the Legend Cars should stay on switching on and off the Saturday schedule. Beginning of the year they had a lot of guys. And slowly it died down but that is how it is each year for all divisions.

We All know that the Trucks are having a very bad time right now. They are having the Late Model blues that pledged them last year. I don't think they should be scraped and thrown away. A lot of teams spend money and time on the trucks, To throw them away for only 2 years of on the schedule is like a spit in the face. I think I said this before but why not have them race with the Late Models? Mix the Late Models and Truck race in one race. Once more just a thought,

Matt It would be nice and cool to see Stafford Late Models to race at the bowl. But I just don't see that happening I don't see them leaving that track. But who knows, on the other hand the Late Models at the bowl this year has been the best in the past few years. With 7 different winners in 15 races it was no longer the Bruce and Timmy show. The competition has become competitive, sure the car numbers have been up and down but still entertaining.

My (1)(1) cents.

Hey there Paul thats the beauty of this forum world. You are more than welcome to dissagree. I see your point about the sk's maybe losing a few cars if some guys move up. But some will prolly run both or you may see a bigger sk field if some front runners were to move up to the mods. With proper scheduling it could be done. run em every other week as a trial run and try to give em the night off if the MRS has a sat night show somewhere. Alls im saying is it worth at minimun the discussuion at the off season meetings. If the idea gets a good response from teams then why not try it. If the teams dont like it then move on. They could also explore adding the sk-lights. Its only a matter of time and 1 of our 3 tracks will bring the mods back and if succesful that track will have the edge. Why not be the 1st to give it a go. If there is 1 about the bowl is they are not afraid to fail in effort to succeed.

They cant just have different divisions race together because the performace difference is too big. A 1 and done outlaw race id 1 thing but to do it weekly more than likely would not turn out to well.

Trucks im sorry dude i think that ship has sailed. Even the truck touring series cant get more than 10 of em. Discontinuing them is no more a slap in the face than it was to not let the track late models have they're own race for finale weekend. Or too put IMO the #2 division in the mins on sat,and not let then compete on sunday so the ledgends which are not even a true nascar divison run on headline day. When making changes someone always gets the short end. The idea is to do what best helps the future. Thats just my 2cents

An SK Light is just about the same speed as a full on SK around the 'Bowl.

As far as total lap time you are right they can turn simular times after a lap or 2 to get wound up. This difference is in horsepower and acceleration. Just like the full blown mods compared to the sk's. A good sk can turn a comparable lap but in a race the Mod will accelerate alot quicker and destroy an sk coming out of the turn. An underpowered car can drive harder in corners, but has no chance on the straits. Perhaps i am wrong on that but i think it is a pretty accurate assesment. On bigger tracks they are much faster.
