I don't know what everyone else thinks but this past Saturday night was a pretty great night. One surprise to me was how many street stocks were there. Most of the season maybe? Good to see Tom Silva and Bill Mcneil. Joe Arena was there but had a motor problem. And looks like there could be a couple more coming soon too. Looks like there are alot of unhappy drivers at Thompson. The wreck in the legends race was one of the worst I've seen in a while. It will be interesting to see if Garbo will be back after he was blamed for it. I haven't seen the replay yet but I did see Mooch brake check him big time earlier in the race. Wonder if the same thing happened to cause the wreck. Hope everyone was all right. They did look pretty shaken up. It's also nice to see the car counts up in the late models too. I'm hearing that John Materas has quit Thompson and has a act car that he will race at the bowl for the rest of the season. And as far as the sk lights go, I think that was one of the best decisions the bowl has made this season, car counts are way up and the racing has been alot more exciting than it has been in the past with just the x mods. Bo Gunning had a real fast car this past weekend but wrecked. So the rest of the season should be interesting and hopefully the car counts will keep on getting higher.

I 100% agree with you. The car counts are not as high as Stafford but they are averaging 15-19 cars every week. It just shows you the bowl is the best place to race and be at on a Saturday night. Heck just look at all the people that have been coming for the past 10 weeks. It's outstanding the support the bowl is getting from the fans.

Speaking about that LC race. Dose anyone have any updates on the drivers that went to the hospital? A lot of destroyed cars left the track that night. I wonder what the car numbers will be for the 50 lap race.

And the SKL is a good division. they should get more track time next year. Not a full schedule but should get more races.

I wont be at the bowl this week. It will be the first one I miss this year. But I will miss the track. It's like watching a sope on TV. the story just keeps on getting better every week.

there are reports of several unhappy Thompson racers that are planning to make the switch.

from what I have read, Dana has a broken arm from the wreck.

sk lights are trying to put on some good racing. how about that Paul French guy? he's money out there!

listen for something new this week at the track during the late model and sk features. I cant say much more other than Waterford will be the first weekly short track to incorporate this technology. I think the fans will love it.

I'm going to take a stab at this Gino. I have heard nothing, but I often wonder when I am watching Cup races, why we can't do some "in-car" reporting from drivers. I don't know if that's even possible with what we have for a P.A. system.

Your hints would seem to indicate maybe that is what's brewing?

I agree that it is good to see so many SS cars showing up. I talked with Joe Arena as we were signing in this past Saturday. I ran with him at Thompson in 2001-2002? I told him they were a welcome addition to the Bowl's program. As far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier.
Look for Greg Moran Jr. to be coming back in the next week or 2 also. With the addition of the Monahan stable and Al Coates returning at some point, and the 97(which was awol Saturday night) and we will see car counts over 20.
Matt Doyan may make an appearance before the end of the season, and the 71 x-car driver, Jeremy Bourbeau and the Jett Motorsports team, are building a SS that may see action before the Finale.

20+ SS's would be amazing.

They have done that in the past at Thompson, so I doubt thats what it is, although it would be great.
