I looked over the 2011 Schedule and I'm quite impressed. It really looks fun and good. I only have one issue and I'm sure many of the fans will have to. And they still have time to fix it but let's go over what I think was a grate idea.

That dates look grate the times and price are down and not TBA. Some are still but I'm sure that will be taken care of in time. The price was jacked up 1$ but you know what who cares. I'd gladly pay 15$ to see a 6 division night.

the Opener for the first race of the week look fantastic. You would be crazy to miss it. Another thing I like is that the SS, MS, LM and LC get one night when they get a 50 Lap feature on a random week. for a regular Saturday Ticket Price.

There was a tiny mistake for the "Wings and Wheels". There is 5 divisions that night. On the Pro-4 schedule they have a date of August 13th. SK's, MRS, ISMA, NEMA and Pro-4 that is a night I would shell out 35 and even 40$ for.

Looks like the "Thunder on the Sound" finally has a name for it's self and a main card. The SK Bud Nat's 150 will take part on the "Thunder on the Sound". And that should be interesting. But don't look for big name Mod drivers to make a stop. Since that's the date the Mod tour goes to Canada. Some rumors are that some Mod driver's wont take the trip. But stranger things has happened.

The nice mix of LC, BL, XC, SX and SKL/XM on Saturdays should be interesting.

Now the only thing I have a problem with the schedule, is the finally. It looks like the Finally will be for points and that's grate. That's how it should be. But the racing card looks boring and short. Anyone would have their eyes on Seekonk's track right now since they are going head to head. But I'm not giving up on my beloved bowl just yet. They can still do what I suggest and push it forward a few weeks. To a date ware they would have a week alone and can invite a few more tours to the card.

Or just hear me out, this sounds crazy but it can be done. If the bowl fears Seekonk taking it's fans, then I have an idea that both tracks can get a good turn out of people. Push everything back one day.
[*Open Practice would be on Thursday.*]
[*Friday would be heats and racing. (SX-20, XC-20, BL-20 and Outlaw-25, Wow4 and Wow8)*]

Now Saturdays Racing Card will be changed. For the better to make it look interesting and to bring in more peeps. Give the Late Models a 100 Lap race. But We all know the Late Models struggle to hold 12 or even 14 cars in a race. But if they mix them with the NETS and if they can bring in 10 trucks then the Late Models and the Trucks. Could probably pull off a 100 Lap race together and make it entertaining. We seen this in the Outlaw race last year, it looks like it can be done. But the Late Models and Nets will not race each other they will race for their own separate division wins.

Now give the SK's a 100 or even a 125 Lap race. Now this is the kicker to bring in the top Mod drivers and stack the field. I like "LuvtheMods" idea. Once a week asking people to give chump change to 1$ up to 5$ or even more. and slowly saving up money. And tell them that it will be bonus money for the SK finally. 70% of the bonus money would go to the winner. 20% for 2nd place and 10% would go to 3rd place. Not only is the Mod tour off that week, but with a big bonus offered it should tickle some of the big names to race at the Bowl.

And everything else on Saturday would stay the same.
[*Open Practice would be on Thursday.*]
[*Friday would be heats and racing. (SX-20, XC-20, BL-20, ALNRS-25, Outlaw-25)*]
[*Saturday (Pit Party - SK 100 or 125 Laps, LM/Nets-100, SS-50, MS-50, LC-25, SKL/XM-25*]

That way on Sunday people can go up to Seekonk and enjoy the MRS and not miss a thing at the bowl since that main card was on a Saturday. Both tracks would win getting both fans. and the ticket price would be just.

That's my 2cents. :D Anyone care to comment?

Yeah, Friday? No. People have jobs.

Trucks and Late Models could be interesting, aside from the fact the Trucks run a second a lap slower. It'd be a like a really hokey version of an American Le Mans Series race...

Then what is stopping people from going to Stafford on a Friday's? Or even Thursday's for Thompson? If they have work? the main card would be on a Saturday. Not many people go to the first day of racing for the opener and the finally. And I'm sure that goes to the same to all tracks. People go for the A Main not the B Main.

I think the Trucks and the Late Models would be one heck of a race. The bigger the car count the more exciting it would be, two races with 10 cars each, or one race with 20 cars each? But like I said the Trucks and the LM would be racing for there own division or tour win. Separate Points.

And I don't see you coming up with any ideas Matt  :P

Those are Friday and Thursday NIGHTS not DAY and NIGHT.

I don't have any ideas because my opinions usually cause me to get heavily moderated, and everything seems peachy now.

I think the new schedule looks pretty good. A little different from last years but for the better I think. Is it me or does it look like we'll be seeing more racing on any given Saturday night. More nights with the x cars plus the sk lights and extra distance races. I am looking foward to this season. And the $1 raise in price doesn't bother me either. The only thing that sucks is that the mod tour is racing the same night as the 150. That means no TC or Coby or any other big name driver. On another note did anyone hear any interesting news at the banquet?

A visual idea, much the same as it was last year, would be to paint the walls red and white, old school winston style.

...and Budweiser causes accidents and horrible decisions, haha. I see a fair trade off.

Hell, it's not like they're promoting anything, just adds an old school touch to the track. I'm willing to bet most of the people in the stands wouldn't even make the connection with Winston and those colors.
