saw this on the Chrome Horn's front page.... HUGE deal and props to Bob Valenti for stepping up for the opening weekend

That is awesome what they're doing for that series. It's great for the bowl too because I'm sure it will help the car count for opening weekend. Can't wait for the MRS heat races. They always put on a show. Not to mention the consi and the feature. :P

sources tell me that they are expecting close to 40 cars for the MRS at the opener... with some big names showin up..

This year could very well be the best year ever for the Mod series and maybe the demise of the tour. With nascar cuttin back on the point money for the tour i can only feel they will feel it on race day counts, while the mod series keeps growing. They had me sold on no time trials alone. Add the fact that guys can take a sk and make a few changes and still compete for a top finish. maybe not a win but they can compete. and always put on a good race. Fans dont have to drop 40 bucks on ticket. With the finacial situtation we are all goin threw what more could you ask for in a series?
