Just like Planet Z I stop paying attention to Matt's post half the time. I guess he does not want any disquisitions going on in this forum. It does not matter I'll continue to ask questions. Even if it seems silly to someone.

no question is silly if you dont know the answer. May feel silly after getting the answer but if you dont know something just ask. at least that what they always said in kiddie school...... Heck i been goin to the track for 30 yrs and i still dont understand the difference between an act late model, super late model, limited model, pro stock and so on. Other than speed i have no clue where the true differences exist. Is it all bolt on stuff to a base frame or are they all totaly different chassis? That may seem silly to some as well but heck i dont know the answer. Mods are easy cause they all start with same frame so its just a matter of what kind of goodies you bolt up on it.

Mostly the various "late models" are different chassis, as well as different kinds of motors. "open rule" motors vs. crate or spec motors. Some also allow different types of rears, suspension, etc.

I also hate to burst your bubble, but there is a difference between chassis manufacture's (frames) in the modifieds. They all fall within the same guidelines, but there are differences. I'm not knowledgable enough to tell you what all the differences are, but they exist.

not the first time my bubble been burst and im sure wont be the last..... I was always of the understanding that wether you have spafco, troyer or a cd modified frame they were the same different dimensions i knew but i always thought was just a matter of building a sk-light,sk or a tour type mod. Never knew they were diff chassis and frames. I learned something new :P

those full body cars just confuse the heck outa me though

From what I've heard, and I could be wrong, a Super Late Model/Pro Stock is pretty much a modified with a full body.
